Oh, Cisco. What a tease you are! The company’s been pumping up the general Internet crowd for a game-changing announcement, one that would–and I quote–”forever change the Internet.” I was honestly hoping that said unveiled device would be like, a super-crazy consumer router that would… well. Francis Ford Coppola has signed on the dotted line with SIM2 to help the projector manufacturer come up with the perfect solution for projectors in the home. Italian manufacturer SIM2, known for its premium range of home cinema and professional DLP projectors, is hoping that working with the director of The Godfather , and his tech team, will bring the kind of quality Hollywood producers need when viewing movies to the consumer market. UK-based company Trinity Mobile is reporting that it has found that more and more people are using its phone-only boarding pass service, which negates the need for paper passes. Instead of security scanning your boarding pass, they can do it straight from your phone.

The Superbrands annual business survey is out and Microsoft has jumped into first place, up from last year’s placing of fourth. Google, who was the biggest brand last year, is now languishing in fifth place, despite last year pushing its Chrome browser (which was launched late 2008) and Chrome OS . Microsoft has sailed to the top presumably because the company released Windows 7 in 2009, to much critical acclaim .
