Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

When it was announced that the iPhone 3G had a proper GPS chip inside it (the original could only work out its location very roughly by looking at which cell phone masts were nearby), we all got very excited at the prospect of using the iPhone as a turn-by-turn satellite navigation system. Especially since even the cheapest standalone sat nav costs more than £100… The reality, sadly, turned out to be less utopian.

Study: 80% of Users Ditch a Stream if it Rebuffers

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Here’s a scary statistic for video streaming services: 4 out of 5 viewers will click in the other direction if a video stream rebuffers, according to a new study by Tubemogul. But should your reach your destination unscathed, you may find that the deals are nothing to get excited over considering stores have already had to mark prices down in the current economic climate, or that quantities are so low that if you’re not near the front of the line donning a pair of running shoes, you’re going to miss out. CNNMoney.com reveals that in some cases, stores may stock as little as 3 units of those enticing low-priced electronics advertised in your local flier.
