Handheld Announces Rugged, Gobi-Ready Algiz 7 Tablet PC

We’ve been having flashbacks of when netbooks first became a hot ticket item and every day brought forth a new product release. Now it’s time for tablet PCs to sit in the limelight, and the latest to join the crowd is Handheld’s 7-inch Algiz. Unlike other tablets of late, the smaller sized Algiz sports a comparatively rugged design. Perhaps because of this, the Handheld eschewed touch support and instead opted for physical buttons shoved over to the side of the screen.

Review: Tannoy DC8T

The Tannoy DC8T is the middle model in the three-strong Definition range, which have very little in common with the models of the same name that were marketed in the mid-1990s. It is essentially a cross between the other two, using the driver size of the standmount DC8 within a floorstanding two-and-a-half-way configuration like the DC10T. The other model in the DC range is the DC6T.

Is T-Mobile Looking to Team Up With Another US Carrier?

In the wake of a major service outage a few weeks ago, fourth place US carrier T-Mobile may be shopping around for investment money from another US cell provider . Compared to the other US carriers, T-Mobile has a very small 3G footprint. Recognizing a need to expand, rumors indicate that parent company Deutsche Telekom is courting the likes of MetroPCS, Clearwire, and even AT&T. Any of these investors would receive a small stake in T-Mobile in exchange for investment to expand their network
